Burning House Project

What would you save if your house was on fire? It's a question that's often very hard to answer, but that's exactly what Foster Harrington has set out to find out in his Burning House project. The images caught my eye a while ago, and I've had them saved in my bookmarks ever since. I really love the idea behind them, and some of the outcomes are stunning.

I think I'd have to save my huge library of magazines and my beloved Mac. Materialistic.. who me?

What would you take with you?

Style Paparazzi Eighteen

Now I'm back to regular blogging, it was about time for another style inspiration post. I've chosen the girl below as I fell in love with her mustard top, it's such a lovely colour. We seem to have skipped straight to Autumn what with all the horrible rain we've had, so I'm on the lookout for something that I can wear to cheer me up. I love how she's paired it with some simple skinny jeans and tan accessories. Always a winner. Oh and not to mention the floppy hat... it needs no words.

Weather for ducks

Wow, I've not signed into blogger for ages- wasn't expecting all this change! I guess that will teach me for neglecting my blog, consider me warned.
I've been so busy with work the past month, that the blog hasn't been a very big priority. However, all the hard work has finally paid off and I start a new job in a matter of weeks. I'm so excited... after nearly two years of interning some one has finally given me a real job! I don't want to mention too much on here as I don't want to jinx anything, but it's pretty much my dream job!
Along with the new job, I'm moving in with one of my best friends. I can't wait to start decorating my new room - even if it is the size of a matchbox ha! We've already been out scouring the charity shops and car boot sales, and my mum has even bought be a lovely vintage looking lamp. I'll leave you with some of my recent bedroom inspiration images... and a promise to be a better blogger!

Style Paparazzi Seventeen

I absolutely adore this girls trousers. I'm not sure what colour you'd call it... orange, rust, mustard?.. but I love them! I'm also loving the masculine trend that the likes of Ms Chung seem to pull off so well. As this girl proves, all it takes is a crsip white shirt work with a cute little bow worn at the neck. Sorted.

I recently came across the latest campaign from Nasty Girl and it got me all excited for Summer, Aptly named American Woman, I've now got the urge to go on an American road trip... any one else?

Style Idle

So I've been a busy little bee recently helping out the lovely Gem with her university project and just wanted to share it with you. She was looking for someone to help with the creative layout of the book, and as she was already a fan of Cellardoor's design I was only too happy to offer my services ha. I was pretty excited to get involved as I'm a huge fan of her Tuesday tips, and her project was a whole book full of them!

Here are some sneak peeks of some of the pages and let me know what you think...

Going for the Chop

I've been toying with the idea of cutting all my hair off for a while. The lure of the chop always seems to rear it's head towards the summer months, but it takes so long to grow I always end up changing my mind. However I'm feeling a little bit braver and after a lot of hair inspiration I'm loving the 'Lob'. What the hell.. you may be crying, but the lob is just short for a 'Long Bob'... see what they did there.

I first saw it on Jen Aniston and loved how simply it transformed her look and perfectly frames her face. Here's a few others I'll be taking with me to the hairdressers.

Flower Girls

I absolutely love this issue of ELLE Denmark, and just couldn't resist the dreamy editorial inside. Now only if I could read a word of it

Style Paparazzi Sixteen

Wow, it's been a busy few weeks. I've just caught up with what day of the week it is after all the lovely bank holiday weekends, as well as my birthday (and the that wedding!) not to mention getting the latest issue of Cellardoor released... so hopefully all blog related duties will be running as normal from now on - I know you've missed me!

So back to the task in hand... this weeks street style posts, and I have to say one of the happiest outfits I've seen in a while. The clash of the bright yellow and orange together (reminds me a lot of Jil Sander) can't help but put a smile on my face... not to mention those pleats! I've been after a pleated skirt for a while, still not sure whether I can pull of a midi though.

A rather royal birthday

So the day is finally here, Wills and Kate are getting hitched. I am slightly miffed as they have chosen my birthday but hey at least I get a day off! My friends are throwing me a BBQ so I will be trying my best to forget about the Royal Wedding, although it's pretty hard to get away from it in London. However, the streets do look prettywith all the union jack flags... have you noticed them hanging? So I'll be enjoying an extra long weekend, I just hope the weather stays nice. How are you planning on celebrating?
