Leaving on a jet plane

This is a scheduled post as i'm off on holiday today and I'm so happy to be leaving the rainy weather behind - it's supposed to be June! So whilst you're reading this, I'll be on my way to Pisa. I've never been to Italy (even though I studied Italian up until my GCSE's!) and i'm pretty darn excited. We're going to be boarding a cruise while we're there (again something i've never done before!) and will be travelling to Cannes, Nice, Barcelona and Gibraltar. Can't wait for some sunshine! I'll be also taking some retro disposable camera's with me so expect some grainy pics on my return...

Yes You Can

There are just some days when you feel really unmotivated. Even when the sun is shining all I want to do is hide under the duvet... 

But I feel if I had one of Julia's prints on the wall, it might make things a little easier... probably. 

Style Paparazzi Twenty Eight

I'm a self confessed jean junkie... there I said it. I pretty much live in my skinnies and have them in every colour and wash you could imagine. I love the girl below and how she's jazzed up her boyfriend jeans with a pale blue shirt and cute bow tie. Adding just the right amount of girliness with a slight heel and showing off her ankles. Perfect.

French Kissing

Another day... and more rain. I don't know about you but I'm sick of the sight of my umbrella - it's June for goodness sake! Where are you sunshine? So to cheer myself up i've been listening to these guys.

They sounds a little bit like the Foals, which isn't a bad thing and definitely make me want to bop around. 

French Soul Party are going to be a future sunbathing soundtrack, I can feel it. 

Illustrate

Sometimes I really wish I could draw. Especially when I come across talented people like Charlotte Trounce. I just love her work... but i'm a sucker for some cute illustrations. 

Dressing Up

Now that we've been in our new house for a few months, I'm determined to decorate my room into the perfect boudoir and I'm on the hunt for the perfect dressing table. 

Aside from hunting on eBay and local antique shops, I can't find anything in my budget! I'll just have to dream whilst looking at these for inspiration... 

Cloud nine

I recently stumbled across Courtney's blog and after seeing the phrase above it really struck me. She wrote "Summer itself is such an important time to practice this, collecting moments & memories with the people around you and not stocking up on the things in life that don't carry meaning." and I don't think I could agree more! 

This summer i'm definitely be going to try and make the most of making memories and doing lots of fun things... especially since this little fella has finally come along. Meet my little nephew George... Isn't he the cutest. (not that i'm biased!)

Style Paparazzi Twenty Seven

Following the recent heatwave we've been having, my inspiration is still well and truly gearing towards how to stay cool in this weather! Like many girls, there are parts of my body I like to keep hidden (even in the heat!) and my legs are my pet hate so i'll be choosing a maxi skirt to cover them up! I love this polka dot one paired with a basic white tee to keep it casual. I'd probably swap the chunky boots and pirate headband and throw on some tan gladiators and ballerina bun.

little numbers

How glorious has the weather been this week. I spent this weekend on the common and filling myself with ice lollies and strawberry cider... yum. If only I didn't have to go to back to work tomorrow!

With the re-emergence of the sun, I can't stop listening to this track from the French duo BOY - it screams summer!

Oh and in other news... my sister has finally given birth to a gorgeous little boy. I can't wait to meet the little fella!

Summer heights high

Judging by the sun currently drenching most of the country, it appears that Summer is most definitely here (well for a few more days at least!) and it's definitely long over due! 

I can't wait until I go on holiday - not that i've booked anything... yet! So after being smitten with these images from italian brand Vivetta, it's just making me itch to jump on a plane! Their latest collection from would be the perfect summer wardrobe. I'm in love with pretty much every piece from the lookbook. Gingham.. check. Retro pastels... check. Quirky watermelon and cloud prints... erm.. check.
