Style Paparazzi Thirty Nine

Now that winter is finally on it's way, I've been compiling my coat wishlist (see below for my current out of price range wants!) and my inspiration folder is bulging with some goodies. 

The sensible side of me is saying I definitely don't that need sugar pink cashmere number i've had my eye on, so i've decided to listen (just this once...) and am gearing towards something a little more grey. Might be the London skies, perhaps and this little lady has picked a perfect example. I like the boxy, more masculine style and the colour looks great paired with the cranberry jumper... and that gorgeous auburn hair! Watch this space...

Covetable Coats

The only good thing about the re-appearence of the colder weather is that back to school feeling of choosing a new coat. After stumbling across this gorgeous editorial from Marie Claire i've now got my eye on the perfect pink brushed wool coat - who knew coats could look so romantic!

How d’you like your eggs in the morning?

Well it certainly looks like Topshop like them exactly where they can see them with their Knitted Egg Jumper! I'm not a huge fan of eggs, in fact I can't bear them but I'm still thinking about adding this little number to my wardrobe... I just can't resist! Who said fashion and food can't mix!

Style Paparazzi Thirty Eight

Sunglasses, check. Shorts, check. Sandals, check. Yep, summer has finally hit the UK and boy doesn't it feel good! There's nothing like a bit of sunshine to put a smile on everyone's faces... that an afternoon full of Pimms in a beer garden. 

So this week, my inspiration came from this little lady who has teamed a cute polka dot shirt (tied off at her midriff naturally) with simple shorts and neautral strappy sandals. I'll be (trying!) to channel this look whilst dressing for work this week... sadly the office calls, so no lazy afternoons until the weekend boo!

Watermelon

I'm a huge lover of nail art... despite not actually being any good at it. So that's where these little guys come in... 

Nail wraps are not new by any means, but I loved the concept behind Scratch. They feature a handful of cute and quirky designs from incredible nail artists, designers, bloggers and illustrators from around the world each month. 

The one that caught my eye though, had to be this neon pop watermelon design from Caroline Burke of Burkatron - perfect for the summer!

Joshua Tree

I've been feeling pretty uninspired lately and have had literally no motivation to blog but after spotting these photos over on Cereal Magazine's blog (check it out if you haven't already!) I feel a change is coming.... road trip anyone?

Mellow Yellow

Ah sunshine, oh how i've missed you. Just in case you ever decide to disappear again I want to have these to wear as a back up. 

I've got the urge to grab a white pair of plimsoles and try this dip dye DIY. So cute.

Rising Stars

I was lucky enough to attend the Company Magazine Rising Stars party on Monday, and as you can imagine I was pretty excited. With performances from Arlissa, Fake club and Nina Nesbitt, who looked gorgeous as always, and manicures courtesy of Rimmel all washed down with some fruity cider it all made for the perfect start of the week.

Oh and obligatory photobooth pic... soz. 

Kenzo X Vans

I think this collection from Kenzo for Vans, definitely has to be my favourite. Now it's in fourth collaboration, this collection takes the bright multicolored prints inspired by the spots of the clouded leopard from their Spring 2013 collection and splatters them across Vans infamous lace up and slip on trainers. 

I've got my eye on that green and orange pair to make my summer wardrobe pop!

Grey Skies

Happy December... oh wait it's April you say? What is up with you weather! All these grey skies and snow have made me feel very inspired, so after looking at these gorgeous photos from Katie Stratton and now i'm dreaming of summer!

There was a time where I was able to pull off a pair of denim dungarees with complete confidence, but alas I'm not five years old anymore. I love how effortless this girl looks paired with the pop of red of her brogues  - and can you imagine how comfortable!

Oh sunshine, my only sunshine

I think I've officially forgotten what sunshine looks like, Spring where are you!!! However, when that that sun does finally decide to show up again, I want to greet him whilst wearing these... 

I know, pretty awesome right.

I've been dying to let you all know about the newest issue of Cellardoor - and now is finally the time! The brand new Music Issue was released on Monday and I think it's pretty flipping amazing... not that i'm biased! 

There's an exclusive interview with Kate Nash and some of our favourite new British talent including Bastille, Marcus Foster and the insanely talented Stave sisters.

Cut and Paste

Being a huge print fan, I was excited to see this collection from textile designer, Helene Georget. Each prints has been hand illustrated and currently only exist in the form of these totally adorable t-shirt origami! Who says fashion can't be art... 

Spring is in the Air

Am completely in awe of this from Elle Sweden for their  25th anniversary issue - the floral set design from Johan Svenson is flipping amazing! 

Perfect Pair

Macaroni and cheese, ketchup and mustard and milk and cookies - it's hard to deny they all make great pairs.... and the very clever graphic artist Dschwen totally agrees!

All the World's a Stage

Last week I took a rare day off work and headed down to the Globe Theatre for their guided tour. Sometimes living in London you forget about all the things that make it such a great place to live - so it's nice to become a tourist every now and again!

Although I didn't really learn anything new (thanks to all those English lessons!) we did get the chance to get up and close and personal to the beautiful building. 

Afterwards, we took a stroll along the Southbank and stopped for a spot of lunch - and despite the arctic wind it was the perfect afternoon! 

Tiddly Pom

Brisbane-based crafter, Rachel Burke is a girl after my own heart. Using pom poms as her main medium, she's creates beautiful pieces of erm... pom pom art.  

f you squint your eyes a little, it's hard to tell the difference between a scoop of choc chip ice cream and a pile of mint green fluff (that is, until you stuff it in your gob).  

And it's not just little balls of wool, Rachel also creates egg-shaped pom poms! I'm feeling crafty all of a sudden...

I'm a huge lover of layering, and I love this girl's take on the masculine trend with the oversized blazer and cute shirt peeking out from under her jumper, keeping it simple in a monochrome palette - perfect!

I've also been living in my skinnies and converse, just wish I could look as chic as her whilst doing it!

Celia x Uniqlo

Absolutely in love with the Celia Birtwell capsule collection for Uniqlo. The designers iconic prints have been dug our out of the archive and splashed across dresses, T-shirts, shorts, vests and tote bags.

Following previous collaborations with Lulu Guinness, Orla Kiely and Laura Ashley the Japanese brand chose Birtwell "for her ability "to combine the traditional sensitivity toward prints with a contemporary, modern and unique twist"... and what a good choice it was too.
