Perfect Pair

Macaroni and cheese, ketchup and mustard and milk and cookies - it's hard to deny they all make great pairs.... and the very clever graphic artist Dschwen totally agrees!

What's your favourite pair?

All the World's a Stage

Last week I took a rare day off work and headed down to the Globe Theatre for their guided tour. Sometimes living in London you forget about all the things that make it such a great place to live - so it's nice to become a tourist every now and again!

Although I didn't really learn anything new (thanks to all those English lessons!) we did get the chance to get up and close and personal to the beautiful building.

Afterwards, we took a stroll along the Southbank and stopped for a spot of lunch - and despite the arctic wind it was the perfect afternoon!

Tiddly Pom

Brisbane-based crafter, Rachel Burke is a girl after my own heart. Using pom poms as her main medium, she's creates beautiful pieces of erm... pom pom art.

f you squint your eyes a little, it's hard to tell the difference between a scoop of choc chip ice cream and a pile of mint green fluff (that is, until you stuff it in your gob).

And it's not just little balls of wool, Rachel also creates egg-shaped pom poms! I'm feeling crafty all of a sudden...

Style Paparazzi Thirty Six

I'm a huge lover of layering, and I love this girl's take on the masculine trend with the oversized blazer and cute shirt peeking out from under her jumper, keeping it simple in a monochrome palette - perfect!
I've also been living in my skinnies and converse, just wish I could look as chic as her whilst doing it!

Celia x Uniqlo

Absolutely in love with the Celia Birtwell capsule collection for Uniqlo. The designers iconic prints have been dug our out of the archive and splashed across dresses, T-shirts, shorts, vests and tote bags.

Following previous collaborations with Lulu Guinness, Orla Kiely and Laura Ashley the Japanese brand chose Birtwell "for her ability "to combine the traditional sensitivity toward prints with a contemporary, modern and unique twist"... and what a good choice it was too.

My week..ish

It's been a real busy one for me lately. Work has kicked into hyperdrive and I've barely had time to do anything else. I worked on art directing my first shoot for work, and assisted a shoot at a gorgeous Dalston studio with amazing props.

Despite this, last week I put on my walking shoes and forced my housemate to catch the Tim Walker exhibition again before it closed. We then ventured down to the National Gallery, can't believe I hadn't been since a school trip. And if all that culture wasn't enough, we also caught a play at the Globe and visited Laduree in Covent Garden for the first time, and it's safe to say i'll be back again.

- Amazing studio I had the pleasure of working in - Want of those giant letters - Watching Iwan Rheon at the Borderline - Sunday session at the gym - Cuddling up to my hot water bottle - Macaroons at Laduree - Getting crafty on a Easter shoot at work - Afternoon stroll to the National Gallery - Saying goodbye to Tim Walker - Yummy octopus cupcakes - Catching a play at the Globe... finally - Yummy curry at Dishoom - Craving summer after fizzy lemon - Watching Adam Burridge in Tooting - Coveting dinosaur prints

The Staves

Been a fan of these girls for a while, but I can't seem to get them off my iPod at the moment. Their new album, Dead & Born & Grown, has been keeping me company on my commute to work and I urge you to listen if you haven't already! The gorgeous harmonies of the three sisters is just beautiful and often sends me off daydreaming... well who wants to remind themselves their being pushed around a packed northern line tube. Me either...

Style Paparazzi Thirty Five

Keeping warm has been on top of my agenda for the past few weeks, and this week I'm loving this gorgeous mustard colour knitted jacket. Paired with the navy and cute bobble hat, she's definitely cracked the warm but still stylish look!

By Royal Appointment

A few weekends ago we popped into the Fashion and Textile museum to take a peek at the Hartnell To Amies exhibition. Once in there, we were transformed back in time with their collection of costumes worn by the royal family from royal designer Hardy Amies and Norman Hartnell. Another afternoon well spent...

Ooh Nan-Na.

Really love these cute illustrations from LA illustrator Nan Lawson, and the fact she loves to draw her favourite TV and movie characters including Star Wars, Mad Men and The Royal Tenebaums.  Now, I'm not a huge fan of Doctor Who, but I can definitely appreciate her doodle of Matt Smith!
