City slicker

It's so hard to keep up with the english weather at the moment, from sweltering heat to downpours, it's far too difficult to get dressed in the morning. However it's meant to be one of the hottest days at the weekend, and myself and my housemates are planning on making the most of the sunshine and getting out and about around London. It's sad to think that i've lived here for over a year and still haven't taken advantage of the amazing parks this city has to offer not to mention the Boris bikes! So that's why we're taking a trip to Richmond park on Saturday and getting our cycle on... can't wait! 

Style Paparazzi Thirty One

I'm not usually a formal dresser, my style is far more casual than anything else. I think thats why I love this girl's take on the short suit in chambray. (You can't go wrong with a bit of chambray can you!) Especially how she's paired it with the leopard print clutch. Now just to get those pins...

Olympic Fever

I have to admit that I wasn't really looking forward to London hosting this year's Olympics. Working in the centre of the city, it was safe to say I was dreading the commute to work. (My office is pretty close to Horse Guard's Parade!)

However I've had to eat my words, as I've fully soaked myself in Olympic fever the past 2 weeks. Although I didn't manage to secure any tickets to any of the events, we've whooped and cheered along with Team GB and i'm pretty proud to be right in the middle of things. 

I still hate the commute... if you see me please don't ask me for directions!

Polka dots

I've been a bit disappointed with the stuff in the shops at the moment. Probably something to do with the weather - it can't make up it's mind what season it want's to be, which makes it difficult to get dressed in the morning let alone shop!

I've always been a colder month kinda girl and come September i've already got my eye on a winter coat and cosy knits. So when I spotted these in Forever21 I had to knab them. The jumper has cute metallic knitted panels with a hint of sheer fabric so I can ease it in into my wardrobe now... score! And well that polka dot denim shirt was just too cute to leave behind. 

Tea Rex

As any of my friends will tell you, I have an unhealthy obsession with anything dinosaur related. On my birthday this year, I was given everything from a cute stegosaurus knuckle duster and a Cath Kidston dino print tea set. Safe to say I was pleased. 

My housemates also treated me to some of these poundland goodies too... 

However I couldn't really justify putting them out on show in my room without getting some funny looks from guests. So when I saw this image of on Pinterest, I knew exactly what to do. 

And now my little critters have a shiny new metallic coat, and finally on show... I might even try this out on some other old bits. 

Knitting Pattern

I absolutely love this work from Izziyana Suhaimi. Not only are her drawing skills absolutely incredible, she's managed to combine this with some intricate embroidery too! The combination of the delicate pencil work and the colourful thread makes for some very pretty art. Beautiful. 

Festival Fever

Well it looks like the UK is in full swing of Summer (well for the time being!) and it's got me wanting to grab my tent and head to summer festival.... especially after seeing Olive's latest lookbook. 

Wall to Wall

I really love the idea of having an accent wall, but aside from just painting it one block colour my ideas were very limited. That was until I saw some of the amazing wall art from ixxi - it's such a great way to display photos. You can either create a collage of your own photos or use an image from their bank - i'm intrigued by the slightly pixellated style artworks like the Van Gogh!

I'm still lusting after pastels it seems, my inspiration folder is bursting with ice cream shades! Love how this girl has mixed a pale green, pink and lilac - almost enough to give you a sugar rush! How cute is her little collar and I'm coveting that pleated skirt too...
