I recently stumbled across the following song from Emma's blog and haven't stopped listening to it since. The song originally by Bruce Springsteen is performed here by Kyle from Typhoon and and Danielle is from the band Congratulations. There's just something about the dreamy vocals and tinkling guitar chords that draw me into my own little world. So just press play and enjoy.

Oh my clumsy heart
I'm a sucker for cute hand made zines so after seeing these on Sophie's blog I fell in love. She's even holding an amazing giveaway so you can win the chance to own one along with a limited edition gocco screen print, badges, handmade confetti, two pinhole art cards, and a customised moleskine cahier notebook. I need these all in my life. So what are you waiting for...

Cellardoor
Whilst studying journalism at uni I discovered I really loved designing the pages more than writing copy and I love that I get to spend most of my time doing just that.

Huck Magazine
I've got a huge soft spot for magazine design so was delighted to see this fun little competion from Huck Magazine .
You might remember a while ago Wallpaper*’ hosted a similar competions where you could design your own cover online, and now Huck has taken this concept a step further. The new issue has been and released with a blank cover just waiting to be filled in. The new issue, dubbed the counter-culture issue,d comes with a large magenta sticker ready to be peeled off and for you to start decorating how you wish. Then all you have to do take a photo of your masterpiece and email to the editor. Easy.
How would you decorate it?
I'm thinking something along the lines of a collage, i'm a sucker for cut + paste!

Lissie
Lissie first popped up on my radar a few months ago, back then I had dismissed her as just another girl with an acoustic guitar. After seeing a few of her sets at the Glasto and few other festivals, my mind has been well and truly changed.
Just check out this cover of Bad Romance....

An Education
I can't believe it took me so long to watch this, but by gosh I loved it - and not just because I love the gorgeous face of Dominic Cooper.
Everything about this movie was amazing, from the the way it was shot and of course the fantastic costumes.
There's just something about that old school glamour I fall for every time. I'm off to perfect my up-do....

Domestic Goddess
I've started reading 'The Undomestic Goddess' by Sophie Kinsella, and although thoroughly enjoying it (I'm a huge fan of the Shopaholic series too!) I can't help but to begin to wonder that I am all too similar to the lead character - Samantha.
Ok, so I'm definitley not a high flying lawyer who's recently lost my job, but much like Samantha I struggle to complete even some of the most menial house work tasks. Actually, now I think about it... it's more of case of 'won't do it' rather than 'can't. So after living on my own for three years, you'd think I'd be pretty competent cooking for myself. Wrong. The most complex dish I can rustle up is pasta... oh and some ready made Dolmio.
So I've set myself the task of cooking meals from scratch.... that means no more jars, and definitely no more micowave meals!
Last night was the the first run, and so I made fajita's. It was pretty easy, and there was even some left over to take to work for my lunch today - so I'm saving money too!
So far so good!
So far so good!
How are you all in the kitchen?
I'll leave you with some food porn....

Goth Girls go to Givenchy
I'm definitely not a 'Goth Girl' by any stretch of the imagination..... but I'd really like one of these.
One in Grey please....

Girl from the city
The latest issue of ASOS magazine features no other than New York socialite, Olivia Palermo, but now she's so much more than that - fashion icon, 'reality' TV star and model Olivia has only gone and landed her first British magazine cover!
Ever since watching her on 'The City', everything about her made me dislike her. All, apart from her impeccable style that is. She always seems to look effortlessly chic, and this spread doesn't disappoint. Olivia poses in dark, muted and earthy tones - the key colour palette for next season on location in Brooklyn, which provides the perfect backdrop. She also makes Converse trainers look glamorous whilst teamed with a white shift dress!
Love her, or hate her, I think this shoot just proves that there's much more to Olivia than just the affluent socialite portrayed on 'The City'.
