Busy little bee

Man, these past few weeks have been hectic. I've not been as active on the old blog as I would have liked but I've been bogged down with lots of exciting projects - so this is a long post ha.

First off I've started a new internship - a PAID one. Yep after months of being a glorified slave some silly beggar  has decided to start paying me ha. It's for a high fashion e-commerce site and I basically get to stare at lots of stuff I can't afford. Nice

Like these....

OPENING CEREMONY - Leopard multi-strap flat sandal

 £ 239.00

OPENING CEREMONY - Suede lace-up wedge sandals

Price : £ 275.00

I've also been busy with the new issue of Cellardoor. You can read the Spring Fling issue here

It's a corker ha.

P.s I've also just started contributing to Foam Magazine's Street Style section which you can see here

Phew that was a long one ha.

Poochie Ga Ga

So we've had Lady Gaga inspired barbie doll's now meet the Gaga inspired dog's. Photographer (and self-professed dog-lover) Jesse Freidin has decided to dress up the pooches as the mad-as - a - hatter songstress.
(Gaga's on the right in case you were unsure)

kiera nice-ly

I'm not a huge fan of Miss Knightly, I find her quite a boring actress not to mention that awful pout thing she does. However, this photo of her has made me look at her in a different light.

I really like the outfit she chose to wear for the  Laurence Olivier Awards Nominees Luncheon. Although it's head to to Miu Miu's S/S 2010 there's something chic about her look. Well until you look a little closer at the shirt, and see the nude female print.
I love how the simple colours all work together and while it looks like a very safe outfit the print gives it a bit of an edge.

I haven't changed my mind about how I feel about her though.

lavender love

Kelly Osbourne posted a pic of her new hair on Twitter and I wish I were brave to take the plunge to got a lavender colour. Once left for the old ladies, the colour has been seen on the catwalks and has sparked a trend for pastel shade locks.
I don't think I could pull it off but I can dream...

Actually My Name's Marina

Photobucket
I stumbled across this little lady a while back, and instantly fell in love. There's just something about her distinctive voice, which has been compared to Kate Bush amongst others. She's also got a great style and she's not afraid to take risks, so you'll probably see her rocking some sequins.

I'll leave you with a lovely acoustic version of her latest song Hollywood. Just check out the shoulders on her jumper...
p.s some of you have mentioned that you can't comment on the blog. I tried to sort it out, so let me know if you still can't comment :)

Burberry A/W oh ten

I absolutely loved this collection. Sadly I wasn't sat on the front row but we managed to catch the live streaming in the office. With us five girls huddled around the little screen, it was just like being there... ha.
I loved all the cosy coats and sheepskin which is a good thing if this winter is anything to go by. There seemed to be a lot of uniform inspired items, and I even like the palette of navy and browns. Oh and if someone could buy me those black buckle boots with the sheepskin. I've been really good, thanks.
What did you think?

ALEXA

Phew Alexa's had a busy month, we've seen her on the cover of this Month's vogue and now she's just released her collection for Madewell.
She's a style icon in her own right, and what with having a handbag named after her, it was only a matter of time before she got her finger in the designing pie.
The collection itself is not very original however it does sum up the Alexa style that we all love.
I love the laid back feel, with it's mix of denim and a neutral palette, and could definitely see many of the items in my wardrobe - a girl can dream.
Here are a few of my favourite looks:

What are your thoughts on the collection?

Grr, this cold weather won't seem to shift.
I'm all confused, the magazines are telling us we should all be wearing our best floaty frocks and sandals but the weather has other ideas.
What with LFW just around the corner, I've found myself coveting a winter wardrobe.
I found this outfit on Stolkholm Streetstyle and I now long for the perfect leopard print coat to wear with my black skinnies. I love the little bowtie ribbon on the shirt collar too.
